MASAI is among the few consultancy organizations in the country servicing grassroots-oriented programs and projects. Founded in 1987, MASAI continues to help peoples’ organizations (POs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) improve and develop their management capability. Evaluations, management consultancies and trainings for NGOs and POs have been MASAI’s distinct areas of competence.
It has also conducted evaluations and trainings for other non-profit groups in China, Thailand, Hong kong, Vietnam and Myanmar.
Since its inception in 1987, MASAI has already serviced over 150 organizations.

The Board of Directors (BOD) represents a broad complementation of expertise and individual accomplishments.
MASAI’s core staff shares a broad social science and management background with extensive experience in development work. Their expertise ranges from management, evaluation, research, and financial management to human right advocacy, community-based health programs, labor education and human rights law practice.
A pool of consultants complements or backstops the core staff capability in individual projects, or handles separate projects.
MASAI’s training team is composed of both regular staff members and consultants. They have extensive experience in organizations engaged in rural development, women and children projects, research and publications, human rights and advocacy, labor education and development, and advocacy of indigenous people’s rights.
